Struggle To Continue For Right Of Self-determination

Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Maulana Abbas Ansari has said that Kashmiris will continue their just struggle for their right of self-determination till its logical end. Maulana Abbas Ansari, during a meeting with the office bearers of APHC Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Islamabad, urged Kashmiris to keep unity among their flanks to achieve their objectives. He emphasised that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute should be brought about according to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. Briefing the senior APHC leader about the activities of the party, the Acting Convenor of APHC AJK chapter, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar said that the APHC AJK was playing a vital role in apprising the foreign diplomats, international human rights organisations, Pakistan’s social, political and religious circles about the gross rights violations in the occupied territory. Among others, Syed Yosuf Naseem, Mir Tahir Masood, Abdul Majeed Malik, Dr. Abdul Aala, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Manzoorul Haq, Nisar Mirza, Altaf Hussain Wani, Khadam Hussain, Tufail Altaf Butt, Muzaffar Hussain Shah, Daud Khan Yosufzai, Abdullah Gilani and Abdul Mateen were also present in the meeting. » Ali Gilani’s whereabouts still unknown Meanhwile, the occupation authorities have not yet disclosed the whereabouts of senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani even after five days of arrest. Naseem Gilani, son of Syed Ali Gilani faxed a letter to the IGP of occupied Kashmir urging him to allow him meet his father, adding that his father had been suffering from various diseases and needed frequent medicare and examination by doctors. Syed Ali Gilani was arrested from his Hyderpora residence on Saturday and taken to some unknown place. Prior to this, the aged leader was under house arrest for almost two months. Meanwhile, Ghulam Nabi Sumji, the acting chairman of the forum patronised by senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has warned massive protests if Gilani’s whereabouts were not disclosed. Ghulam Nabi Sumji in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the occupation authorities would be responsible for anything after people would come out on streets. He appealed masses to march towards Pulwama on Friday to express solidarity with the victims of Shopian incident. The lawyers should protest on Saturday as per programme. »
