13 June 2009
GAZA, (PIC)-- Hamas on Saturday said that the Iranian presidential election results reflected the people's support for the Iranian policy of challenge and a true reflection of democracy. Fawzi Barhoum, the Hamas spokesman, said in a press release on Saturday that the results proved success of the Iranian official catering for the people's interests and in confronting challenges. The results should spur many parties to change their policies towards Iran especially those who failed to create out of Iran an alternative enemy to Israel, He elaborated. The spokesman praised Iran's role in backing the Palestinian people's steadfastness, hoping that the Iranian policy in this regard would continue. He added that Hamas was aspiring to have good relations with all in a bid to restore the Arab and Islamic depth of the Palestine cause.
