World Community Urged Raise Voice Against India State Terrorism

The forum patronised by senior Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Gilani has appealed the international human rights organisations to raise voice against the massive rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. The spokesman of the forum in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over the mysterious disappearance and murder of a second year student, Asrar Ahmad Dar and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. The spokesman called upon the world community to take notice of such Incidents, which have become a routine matter in the occupied territory. He said that Indian troops used brute force on peaceful demonstrators to prevent them from holding protests against the inhuman acts of Indian government. He said that it had become a hobby of the National Conference to suppress the voice of Kashmiri people through force, adding that even the university students were not spared who were protesting against the rape and murder of two Shopian women and the Indian police injured dozens of male and female students by using force against them. The spokesman made it clear that India could not stop the ongoing liberation struggle through such tactics and the people of Kashmir would continue the indigenous movement till securing their birthright to self-determination. Meanwhile, the forum has also condoled the deaths of the mother of Javed Ahmad Shala and Shahi Imam of Delhi and prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace. » Molestation, killing of girl in Kupwara widely condemned The All Parties Hurriyet Conference and other pro-liberation leaders and organisations have strongly condemned the molestation and killing of a girl student by Indian troops at Trehgam in Kupwara. The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyet leaders and organisations including Mohammad Yasin Malik, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Yasmeen Raja, Farooq Siddiqi, Farida Bahenji, Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and High Court Bar Association of the occupied territory in their separate statements articulated serious concern over the killing and molestation of the girl by the troops. The statements said that the frequent incidents of molestation, rape and murder by the troops had proved that the occupied Kashmir was turned into a military garrison, where Indian troopers were committing gross human rights violations with impunity. They also expressed their sympathies with the bereaved families of Maisuma, Baramulla and Shopian victims. The statements said that the chastity of Kashmiri women was not safe in presence of seven lakh Indian troops, who were using rape as war weapon to suppress and muzzle the voice of people and to force the valiant and freedom loving Kashmiris into submission. “The Shopian incident was still fresh in the minds of people who are demanding punishment to the culprits and yet our another Kashmiri sister’s chastity has been outraged,” the statements added. The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq appealed the international human rights organization to come to occupied Kashmir to witnesses the human rights abuses being perpetrated by the Indian forces. He called upon the international community to pressurize India to stop state terrorism in the Valley. “It is a duty of the world community to work for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute,” he stated. Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in a statement expressed serious apprehension about the occurrence of incidents of rape in occupied Kashmir where women are being targeted by Indian troops. He appealed to the international human rights organisations to impress upon India to stop the violence against the innocent people of the territory. He also demanded the repeal of black laws, withdrawal of the troops and immediate release of illegally detained political leaders and activists. »
